of these may be signs of developmental delays or disorders that can
frustrate a child as well as parents and teachers. The Children's Hospital
Assessment and Treatment Team (C.H.A.T.T.) provides comprehensive evaluations
and treatment for infants, children and adolescents who experience difficulty
in any of the following areas:
- Motor
activities, such
as walking, running, self-feeding
or dressing
- Communicating,
including
speaking and understanding others
- Learning
skills, such
as reading, writing, problem solving and retaining information
- Staying
focused, following
directions and controlling impulses
- Social
relationships, interacting
with peers and engaging in play with others
